This service resumed on Monday 11 May 2020. This is not an excess waste collection service for example disposal/collection of black bags. The service is for oversized items which will not fit in a standard wheelie bin. Please see our FAQ page for more information.

Before disposing of any bulky items outside, please consider whether they can be reused. You can donate usable items to local charity organisations:
National re-use This phone line and website service easily allow you to pass on household items to be used again. The re-use phone line works with community-based reuse organisations, local authorities and partners across Scotland to provide the public with a free collection service for unwanted items.

Household Waste Recycling Centre - you can dispose of a variety of items, free of charge, at our Household Waste Recycling Centre
Private householders are charged £40.00 as of 1 April 2020 per uplift. All chargeable uplifts must be paid in advance.
For Clackmannanshire Council tenants, the charge is covered by the rent tenants pay to the Housing Revenue Account (HRA). The number of uplifts available to tenants in the year is subject to the approved housing budget, and thereafter tenant requests will be subject to charging.
Paragon and Ochil View Tenants
Paragon Housing Association tenants are entitled to multiple uplifts as the charge is paid from the rent. Ochil View tenants may be entitled to a discounted rate dependent on location, please call Ochil View Housing on Tel: 01259 722899 for details.
Clackmannanshire Council also provides a Commercial Waste services. Prices vary dependent on bin size chosen and frequency of collection. Please call 01259 450000 to arrange or discuss this service.

Please consider fire safety when storing materials to be uplifted. It is not good practice to store an item in a close or against a building as this is classed as a fire hazard.
Another option is to use the National Re-use Collection Service.
If you have large items at home that you no longer need and are still in good condition, you can have them collected for free by calling the Re-use Line on 0800 0665 820. More information can be found at http://www.recycleforscotland.com/re-use/national-re-use-phone-line
The National re-use phone line collects bed frames, mattresses, chests of drawers, book cases, wardrobes, dressing tables, tables, chairs, sofas, armchairs, washing machines, electric cookers, fridge freezers and bikes.
